| Title | NIPPON Chocolate Pot - Iris Pattern | ||||
| Description | For the Chocolate Pot Collector or anyone who adores beautiful vintage china This exquisite work of art consists of a flourish of blue, yellow and white Iris on one side, with a singular Iris displayed on the opposite. The floral artwork is masterfully etched in gold, with a clever design of golden frills surrounding the entire pot. While the handle’s gilt is solid, the rim, lid and semi-flared base feature a tiny, raised pattern around each which adds character to the piece. The distinguishing markings on the bottom of the pot identify it as a Nippon creation of the Morimura Brothers era, dating it anywhere between the late 1880’s to around 1918. Excluding the lid, it stands 9 1/4 inches and holds 26 fluid ounces. The most minor of flaws for this beauty are seen on the exterior of the removable lid, which has one very small nick in the gilt, along with minor fade spots. This, of course, disappears when the lid is on. Considering the age of this collectable, it is in excellent condition. Sale Price: 65.00 US Dollars Only serious buyers need inquire. The seller will not accept trades. Cash Only. |
